What Are Custom Agents?
Taskade AI Agents are designed to automate routine activities like research, task management, and content creation. You can create a team of custom AI agents, each with a unique personality, skills, and knowledge, and access them on all your devices, including iOS and Android.

Create a Custom Agent
Open your workspace and tap the π€ Agents tile at the top.
βTap β Create agent to open the agent creator.
βChoose a template or select Blank to start from scratch.
βTap Create in the top-right corner.
βCreate a unique name for your custom agent.
βTap the robot icon to select an avatar or upload your own.
βSet the Tone for the default agent output (see next section).
βTap Create in the top-right corner to save the new agent.
Set Agent Tone
You can change the tone of your custom AI agents β whether you prefer a friendly chat or a more formal conversation β to match exactly how you like to communicate.
Open your workspace and tap the π€ Agents tile at the top.
β(method #1) Tap the pencil icon βοΈ next to an existing agent.
βScroll down in the General tab and tap the Tone button.
βChoose a target tone from the drop-down list.

(method #2) Tap β Create agent to open the agent creator.
βChoose a template or select Blank to start from scratch.
βTap Create in the top-right corner.
βScroll down and tap the Tone button.
βChoose a target tone from the drop-down list.

Add and Edit Agent Commands
Each agent can have multiple custom commands you can use in the project editor.
Tap the π€ Agents tile again.
βTap the βοΈ pencil icon next to your agent.
βGo to the Commands tab at the top.
βChoose an existing command or tap β Add Command and fill in the details:
βName: The name of the command accessible via / commands.
βPrompt: The action you want the agent to execute.
ββοΈ Background Task: Toggle on for long-running, multi-level tasks.
βπ§ Web Search: Toggle on to give your agent access to the Internet.

Upload Agent Knowledge
You can use your files & documents or external resources to train your agents:
Tap the π€ Agents tile again.
βTap the βοΈ pencil icon next to your agent.
βGo to the Knowledge tab at the top.
βToggle the Enable knowledge slider on.
βChoose one of the available options to add agent knowledge:
βUpload File β upload files & documents from your device.
βAdd from media β choose from previously uploaded documents.
βAdd Link β add knowledge from a URL.
βAdd YouTube β choose a YouTube video (the agent will use a transcript).
π‘ Note: Agent knowledge can combine many different sources.
Set Background Tasks
Agents can perform multiple complex tasks in the background.
Tap the π€ Agents tile again.
βTap the βοΈ pencil icon next to your agent.
βGo to the Commands tab at the top.
βChoose an existing command or tap β Add Command and fill in the details.
βToggle on βοΈ Background Task for long-running, multi-level tasks.
Edit, Copy, or Delete an Agent
Tap the π€ Agents tile again.
βTap the three dots Β·Β·Β· next to your agent.
βTap βοΈ Edit agent to modify agent settings.
βTap π Copy agent to copy the agent to a different workspace/folder.
βTap ποΈ Delete to remove the agent from your workspace/folder.
Choose a Language for AI Responses
AI responds in the language of the prompt. Here's how to change the output language:
(method 1): Specify the language in the prompt.
βe.g. "Respond in Spanish: What's the weather like in Madrid?"

(method 2): Provide context in the target language.
βe.g. "ΒΏCΓ³mo estΓ‘ el clima en Madrid?" will receive a response in Spanish.
Use the Agent
There are two ways you can use your custom AI agents:
(method 1): Chat with the agent:
βTap the π€ Agents tile.
βSelect your custom AI agent.
βStart a conversation and ask your agent questions.
(method 2): Use custom agent commands:
βOpen a project in the workspace/folder where you created the agent.
βType / + the name of your custom command, e.g. "/task breakdown".
βYou don't need to type the entire command.

Choose a command from the pop-up menu.
