What Is Agent Knowledge?
Agent knowledge refers to the information your custom AI agents use to provide contextual and accurate responses. Agent knowledge combines agents' pre-trained data with additional sources of information you can update as needed.
Explore the Knowledge Tab
The Knowledge tab lets you update, review, and edit agent knowledge in one place.
To edit your agent knowledge:
Go to the Agents tab in your workspace or folder.
βClick the three dots Β·Β·Β· next to an agent and select βοΈ Edit agent from the list.
Choose the Knowledge tab in the sidebar on the left.
Upload Documents
Uploading documents is a straightforward way to supply the agent with specific, structured information that it can use to generate more accurate responses.
Go to the Knowledge tab of your agent (see the previous section).
β(method 1) Add sources
βClick the ADD SOURCES box to choose files from your device, or
βDrag & drop documents from your desktop into the box.

(method 2) Add Media
βClick the π Add Media button.
βChoose from attachments already uploaded to your projects.

Once you're done adding knowledge, click Update to save the changes.

Bulk Knowledge Management
You can now quickly add more data to your agent's knowledge base by uploading multiple projects, links, and files at the same time. Here's how it works.
Go to the Knowledge tab of your agent (see the previous section).
βChoose one of the available methods.
βUse checkboxes or the β button to select the resources you want to add.
βClick Add to knowledge to upload the resources.
Use Web Resources
Using web resources allows your agents to access up-to-date information available online and ensures that it can provide relevant answers based on the latest data.
Go to the Knowledge tab of your agent.
βChoose one of the available sources:
βπ Add link: Choose external resources like websites and blogs.
βποΈ Add YouTube: Choose one or multiple YouTube videos for transcription.
βπ¦ Add with Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or OneDrive.

Once you're done adding knowledge, click Update to save the changes.
π‘ Note: Links/Sitemaps added will not be crawled for any internal links
Create Source
You can quickly create new text resources from scratch directly in the Knowledge tab.

In the Knowledge tab, choose Add Markdown/Text.
Paste markdown or plain text into the pop-up window.
βClick Add to Knowledge to add the text to agent knowledge.
βWhen done, click Update in the Knowledge tab to save the changes.
Use Dynamic Knowledge
Adding links and projects to your agent's knowledge base allows it to constantly learn new things. Combining dynamic and static knowledge (uploaded files and documents) gives the agent a better understanding of what you're working on.
Select your agent in the Agents tab.
βChoose the Knowledge tab in the sidebar on the left.
βEnable the Knowledge toggle on the right.
βUse one of the available options to train your agent:
βπ Add Project: Select projects from the current workspace/folder.
βπ Add link: Choose external resources like websites and blogs.
Projects used as knowledge sources will provide the following information to the agent:

Knowledge Backlinks
Whenever an agent adds a project as knowledge, Taskade will add a backlink inside that project so you can instantly see which agents are using it.
Add Project to Agent Knowledge
You can instantly add any project to your agent's knowledge from the Β·Β·Β· menu:
Click Β·Β·Β· in the top-right corner of a project.
βChoose Add to Agent Knowledge from the drop-down list.
Look Up References
When you interact with agents, all responses display which sources are referenced. You can preview the sources on the go for enhanced visibility and transparency.
Start a conversation with your agent.
βYou will see a box indicating access to external sources.
βClick the drop-down arrow to preview the sources.
