Move Tasks around within the same project for better organization with the Move Task Within Project action.

Overview

Move Task allows an automation to relocate tasks within a project, streamlining task organization and management. It enables you to easily adjust task priorities, shift tasks between stages, and optimise workflows for improved project efficiency and progress tracking.


How to Use It

  1. Click ➕Add Step and choose the Move Task Within Project action.

  2. Select a Project you would like the automation to run in.

  3. Specify which Task ID you would like the automation to move, this is usually referenced with the @ shortcut from an earlier Trigger or Action. In this example, the Task ID is referenced from the Task Completed Trigger.

  4. Select a Destination Block within the Project you selected for the Task to be moved to.

  5. Finish the automation or add more steps for further processing.

Connector options give you full control over the Move Task Within Project automation:

Project

Select which Project you would like the automation to run in.

Task ID

Enter or reference a Task ID you want to be moved. Note that this Task ID must exist in the Project selected in the previous field.

Destination Block

Select which Block you want the Task to move to. Note only Blocks within the Project selected will be available for selection.
