Use automation flows to Move Tasks around for better organization.

Overview

Move Task allows an automation to relocate tasks within a project. It enables you to easily adjust task priorities, shift tasks between stages, and optimise workflows.


How to Use It

  1. Click ➕Add Step and choose the Move Task Within Project action.

  2. Select a project you would like the automation to run in.

  3. Specify which Task ID you would like the automation to move. This is usually referenced with the @ shortcut from the preceding Trigger or Action. In the example above, the Task ID is referenced from the Task Completed trigger.

  4. Select a Destination Block for the task to be moved to.

  5. Finish the automation or add more steps for further processing.


Move Task Within Project (Settings)


Connector options give you full control over the Move Task Within Project automation:

Project

Select which Project you would like the automation to run in.

Task ID

Enter or reference a Task ID you want to be moved. Note that this Task ID must exist in the Project selected in the previous field.

Destination Block

Select which Block you want the Task to move to. Note only Blocks within the Project selected will be available for selection.
