Overview
Agent knowledge refers to the information your custom AI agents use to provide contextual and accurate responses. Agent knowledge combines agents' pre-trained data with additional sources of information you can update as needed.
Taskade Genesis is the AI app builder that turns a single prompt into living software — complete with AI agents, databases, and automations.

Bulk Training
You can now quickly add more data to your agent's knowledge base by uploading multiple projects, links, and files at the same time. Here's how it works.
Go to your agent's Knowledge tab (see the previous section).
Choose one of the available methods to upload knowledge.
Use checkboxes or click ➕ Add another to select multiple sources.
Use Web Resources
Using web resources allows your agents to access up-to-date information available online and ensures that it can provide relevant answers based on the latest data.
Go to your agent's Knowledge tab.
Choose one of the available sources:
🌐 Add link: Choose external resources like websites and blogs.
🎞️ Add YouTube: Choose one or multiple YouTube videos for transcription.
📦 Add with Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or OneDrive.
Once you're done adding knowledge, click Update to save the changes.
💡 Note: Links/Sitemaps added will not be crawled for any internal links.
Create Source
Quickly create new text resources from scratch directly in the Knowledge tab.
💡 Note: Visit Markdown Support to learn more about using Markdown in Taskade.
In the Knowledge tab, choose Add Markdown/Text.
Paste markdown or plain text into the pop-up window.
Click Add to Knowledge to add the text to agent knowledge.
When done, click Update in the Knowledge tab to save the changes.
Use Dynamic Knowledge
Adding links and projects to your agent's knowledge base allows it to learn new things. Combining dynamic and static knowledge (uploaded files and documents) gives the agent a better understanding of what you're working on.
Select your agent in the Agents tab.
Choose the Knowledge tab in the sidebar on the left.
Enable the Knowledge toggle on the right.
Use one of the available options to train your agent:
(1) 📄 Add Project: Select projects from the current workspace/folder.
(2) 🌐 Add link: Choose external resources like websites and blogs.
Projects used as knowledge sources will provide the following information to the agent:
✅ Included | ❌ Not Included |
Text, blocks, paragraphs | Uploaded files |
Due dates | Comments |
Assignees | Embedded links or files |
| Timers |
| Reactions |
| Custom fields |
| Chat messages |
Look Up References
When you interact with agents, the chat displays which sources are referenced. You can preview the sources on the go for enhanced visibility and transparency.
Start a conversation with your agent.
You will see a box indicating access to external sources.
Click the drop-down arrow to preview the sources.
Knowledge Backlinks
Whenever an agent adds a project as knowledge, Taskade will add a backlink inside that project so you can instantly see which agents are using it.
