How It Works

In this guide, we'll show you how to use Taskade's Custom AI Agents in your job search journey. You'll learn what agents are and how they can help you:

What Are AI Agents?

AI Agents are smart tools that automate tasks such as research and content creation. They save you time by handling routine activities inside projects.

Now that you know the "what," it's time for the "how."

Add Your Experience

First, add your accomplishments and achievements into a Taskade project.

There are two ways to do that:

    1. Open your workspace or folder.

    2. Click the βž• New project button (top-right corner).

    3. Name your project, e.g. "Experience".

    4. Copy your accomplishments from your resume into the project.

    1. Click the βž• New project button in your workspace / folder (top-right corner).

    2. Choose Import and Summarize Documents with AI.

    3. Drag your resume document (.pdf, .docx, or .txt) into the pop-up menu.

    4. Click βž•Create Project to paste the summary into a new project.

    5. Name your project, e.g. "Experience".

With that out of the way, we can now move to the next step.

Create and Train an Agent

There are two ways to build AI agents in Taskade β€” you can start from scratch (advanced method), or choose from dozens of AI agent templates.

For the purpose of this guide, we're going to use the πŸ“„ Resume agent templatae.

    • Go to the Agents tab in the workspace/folder.

    • Click βž• Create agent.

You're now in the Agent Creator:

  • Choose the πŸ“„ Resume agent template from the list.

  • Create a unique name for your custom agent.

  • Select an avatar or upload your own.

  • Click Create to save the new agent.

Each agent is pre-trained on generic data. We need to develop the knowledge base of our πŸ“„ Resume agent using the description of the job you're applying for.

    • Go to the Agents tab in your workspace.

    • Hover the mouse cursor over the πŸ“„ Resume agent.

    • Click the ✏️ Edit agent button on the right.

  • Choose the Knowledge tab on the left.

    1. (method #1) Click the box under ADD SOURCES and select the file.

    2. (method #2) Drag & drop the file from your device.

  • Enable the Knowledge toggle in the top-right corner.

  • Click Update to save changes.

Our πŸ“„ Resume agent is ready. Let's put it to work.

Use AI to Upgrade Your Resume

    • Open the "Experience" project we created earlier.

    • In the chat, choose the πŸ“„ Resume agent using the drop-down menu at the top.

Now, ask the agent what you should edit in your accomplishments based on the job description it was trained on. Here are the result we received.

Wait for the agent to generate personalized recommendations.

You can also ask the agent to rewrite some of your accomplishments to save time.

The interviewer may ask you a series of follow-up questions to conclude the interview. Ask the Agent to generate a series of questions based on the job description.
