Trigger | Description |
New Card | Triggers when a new card is created on your Trello board |

Trello Actions
Build comprehensive board workflows with Trello actions. Create cards, update statuses, and search across boards using automations or AI agents.

Create Card | Create a new card in a specified list on a board |
Update Card | Modify an existing card's fields, labels, or members |
Search Cards | Find cards by name, label, member, or board |
Use Trello with AI Agents
Your AI agents can call Trello actions as tools during conversations, allowing them to look up cards, retrieve board data, and respond with live information.
Configure Trello Tool
Connect Trello to your workspace (see above).
βOpen your agent β Tools tab.
Enable Automation Actions or add Trello as a custom tool.
βThe agent will call Trello actions automatically when relevant during chat.
Prompt Examples
Your AI agents can use Trello actions as tools during conversations:
User: "Move the Onboarding Checklist card to Done."
Agent β trello.update_card({name: "Onboarding Checklist", list: "Done"}) β Card moved
Agent: "Done! I've moved the Onboarding Checklist card to the Done list."
