Leveraging AI agents in Taskade can streamline your research and market analysis, enhance data collection, and improve collaboration across teams. Here are some useful tips to help you get started, along with essential features and strategies.


Gathering Insights

A custom AI agent can be a powerful tool for getting started with your research and market analysis. It can be equipped with datasets as part of its knowledge base, allowing it to analyze trends, competitors, and customer behavior with in-depth insights.

The AI provides fresh perspectives on emerging market opportunities or challenges that might not have been considered before. With rapid data processing and analysis, the AI helps uncover patterns and insights, streamlining your decision-making and strategy development processes.

Choose a Default Agent

You can get started immediately by just picking one of the default AI agents. They're already set up with all the basic instructions and commands you need.

1. Go to the AI Agents tab at the top of your workspace/folder.

2. Click the βž• Create agent to open the agent creator.

3. Use one of the available agent templates.

Researcher

An agent whose task is to conduct in-depth research on various topics. Using its analytical skills and access to academic and industry resources to gather, analyze, and present data-driven insights.

Market Research Expert

An agent that specializes in providing valuable market insights to assist sales teams. It conducts thorough market analysis, identify trends, and offer data-driven recommendations to help sales teams target the right customers and optimize their strategies.

SWOT Analysis Agent

An agent that specializes in helping Product Managers identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to their products or projects.

βž• Create a Custom Agent

If you can't find what you're looking for, let's create a custom agent and tailor it to your needs. You can define the agent's general behavior as well as individual commands.

    1. Go to the AI Agents tab at the top of your workspace/folder.
      ​

    2. Click βž• Create agent to open the agent creator.
      ​

    3. Create a unique name for your custom agent.
      ​

    4. Select an avatar or upload your own.
      ​

    5. Click Create to save the new agent.

    6. Fill in your desired instructions for the AI agent to follow when executing prompts and commands.
      ​

    7. Click Create to save the new agent.
      ​

    1. In the AI Agents tab, select the agent you created in the previous step.

    2. Click Edit agents in the top right corner.
      ​

    3. Choose the Commands tab on the left.
      ​

    4. Click βž• Add command and define the prompts:
      ​

      • Name: Pops up when you type / + "command name"

      • Prompt: Defines the behavior of the custom command.

      • Mode: Defines how the agent executes the command.

        • Default: The agent follows specific instructions from your prompt directly.

        • Plan and execute: The agent set goals, breaks tasks into steps, and iteratively reasons through them to handle complex tasks autonomously.

    5. Click Create to save the changes.


Competitor Analysis

With an AI agent selected or created, it can be used to conduct a competitor analysis of any given competitor by just providing a link to their website. Document and discuss about the analysis in projects or add them to the agent's knowledge base to draw further comparisons.

  • Start a conversation with the AI agent:

    1. Navigate to the workspace screen.

    2. Click on the AI Agents tab.

    3. Click on an appropriate agent to start a conversation.

    4. Provide it the website URL of your potential competitor along with the prompt and any details you want the agent to include in the analysis.

  • Add the analysis to a project or agent's knowledge base

    1. Scroll down to the end of the generated response.

    2. Click on the βž• Plus icon below the response.

    3. Click on Add to Project or Add to Knowledge.

      1. Projects can be used for team discussions or making amendments to the analysis.

      2. Adding it to the agent's knowledge base allows the agent to reference it for future responses or if a cross analysis is done with other competitors.


Up-to-Date Market Analysis

With an AI agent selected or created, combined with automations, a workflow can be created such that whenever an RSS feed is updated with news relevant to your industry. The agent analyzes whether the update impacts your company's product organizes the findings in a dedicated project. From there, you can document and discuss the potential impact or track related developments to inform your strategy.

  • Setting up the automation:

    1. Navigate to the workspace screen.

    2. Click on the Automations tab and Click on Add Automation.

    3. Click Start from scratch.

      1. Select the appropriate agent and provide the prompt in the Input field.

      2. Ensure that the content or summary of the RSS trigger is referenced in the Input field.

      1. Ensure that the Ask Agent Result is referenced in the Content field.
