What Is the Media Tab?

The Media Tab allows you to upload and browse media files, and instantly start Q&A sessions with Taskade AI. Here's everything you need to know.


Upload to Media Tab

  1. Open your workspace/folder.

  2. Click the Media button in the navigation bar at the top.

  3. Click ➕ Add media and choose one of the available options:

    • Computer

    • Google Drive

    • Dropbox

    • Box

💡 Note: The Media Tab will also aggregate files and documents you upload into projects. Visit 📎 Upload Files / Attachments to learn more.


Chat With Your Documents

  1. Open your workspace / folder.

  2. Navigate to the Media Tab at the top.

  3. Hover the mouse cursor over a file and click 🤖 Ask AI.

  4. Type your questions in the pop-up menu to start a conversation.

💡 Note: To chat about multiple PDF documents, you need to create a custom agent and upload your PDFs. Visit Custom AI Agents to learn more.

Download a File / Copy Link

  1. Open your workspace / folder.

  2. Navigate to the Media Tab at the top.

  3. Right-click any of the files to open it inside the Media Tab.

    • Click Download to download the file to your device.

    • Click Copy Link to copy an internal link to the file.

    • Click Ask AI to start a new Q&A session.


Delete Media

  1. Open your workspace / folder.

  2. Navigate to the Media Tab at the top.

  3. Hover the mouse cursor over the file you want to delete.

  4. Click the three dots on the right and select 🗑️ Delete.


Create Project from Media

You can instantly convert media files into new projects in the same workspace/folder.

  • Navigate to the media tab.

  • Hover the cursor over the file you want to convert.

  • Click the three dots ··· next to the name of the file.

  • Click Create project.


Agent Media Backlinks

You can use files and documents in the Media tab to fine-tune your custom AI agents.

Here's how you can check which agents are using the files as their knowledge:

  • Navigate to the media tab.

  • Click the Link button under name of the file.

  • (optional) Click the agent's name to instantly edit its knowledge.
